Help the Band Get to New York

Georgia Tech Band on game day

The Yellow Jacket Marching Band plays on game day

Raise Your Baton!

Getting 350 band members to New York is no small task. The Yellow Jacket Marching Band has been the soul of Georgia Tech for a century. Help be a part of this special occasion not only for the band, but also for Georgia Tech. The fundraising goal is approximately $300,000!

Help Our March to Manhattan

• Make memories

• Showcase Georgia Tech to more than 50 million people

• Celebrate the Marching Band's centennial

OVERALL GOAL: $300,000
FUNDRAISING GOAL: $200,000

Yes—it's a big number. But the Georgia Tech Band has approximately 350 members, and we want them all to go! The average cost per band member will be about $850. To make the trip as affordable as possible, the band will be traveling via bus rather than air, so the Institute has worked diligently to secure the most affordable options for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

How We're Doing

To date, we have raised just over $50,000, so we have a way to go. The band has raised most of the first $50,000 through various performances, including the Keith Urban concert in April 2008. And the Sugarland / Kenny Chesney concert in September 2007.
