Apply for Graduation

Graduation procedures vary by academic department, so be sure to check with your school or college about special requirements. All students must complete a degree petition and submit a departmental or CAPP compliance checklist with it. Degree petitions for all graduates can be found on the Degree Petition portion of the Registrar’s website, under Degree Information. After the Online Application for Graduation (OAG) is submitted, you can check your graduation status within DegreeWorks

Check Your Georgia Tech Email

Students are responsible for checking their Georgia Tech email throughout the semester for important information and updates regarding Commencement. Directions on how to forward your Georgia Tech email to another account can be found on the OIT website.

Attend Commencement Fair

All graduates are encouraged to attend the Commencement Fair, a one-stop shop for graduation requirements. While at the Commencement Fair, you can purchase your regalia, confirm your status with the Registrar's Office, meet with Balfour to order your class ring, sign up for membership in the Alumni Association, and meet with other vendors to help you with next steps. Purchase Your Regalia

All graduates are required to wear approved Georgia Tech regalia to participate in Commencement. To learn more about regalia, visit the Academic Regalia page.

RSVP for Commencement

All graduates, regardless of whether or not they plan to attend Commencement, must RSVP for the event. An RSVP is required to receive tickets to the Commencement ceremony. For more information regarding tickets, visit our ticketing policy page or FAQs.

To attend Commencement, students must RSVP between February 15 and March 8, 2013 by completing the online form. Students are responsible for securing Internet access to register during this period, as no late RSVPs can be accommodated.

Successful entries will receive an email response. Please save this confirmation for your records. The Commencement Office is unable to confirm any submissions.

Pick Up Your Commencement Tickets

Students are responsible for picking up guest tickets for Commencement. Those studying off-campus have the option to pick up their tickets at will call the day of the event. Fall ticket distribution will take place on campus at the Athletics Ticket Office from March 13 to March 29, 2013. Any unclaimed tickets at the end of the distribution period will be returned to the Commencement Office.For more information, visit the Ticketing Policy page

The Spring 2013 Bachelor's Commencement will be split into two ceremonies. Please refer to the Spring 2013 ceremony page for specific ceremony times for each major.
