RSVP
Spring 2013 graduates are required to RSVP online between February 15 and March 8 to secure guest tickets. An RSVP is required to receive Commencement tickets and participate in the ceremony. No late RSVPs will be accepted.
All RSVP submissions will receive a confirmation email. Please save a copy of this email for your records to confirm your submission details. The Commencement Office is unable to confirm any RSVPs.
Lottery Tickets
Any tickets left unclaimed by the end of the distribution period will be redistributed by lottery. Students are required to opt-in to the lottery during the RSVP period to receive tickets. Only students who have submitted an RSVP and indicated they would like additional tickets will qualify for the lottery.
Students will be notified of lottery results on April 3 through their Georgia Tech email. Students are expected to receive an additional two tickets, if selected, which will be available at the Athletic Ticket Box Office from April 8 to April 12.
Distribution
Tickets will be distributed on-campus at the Athletics Ticket Office located on the north end of Bobby Dodd Stadium between March 13 and March 29. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Any tickets left unclaimed by the end of the distribution period will be redistributed by lottery.
Students must present photo identification when collecting tickets. Alternatively, they may send a delegate to collect tickets. Please complete and print the ticket delegate form to have another individual receive your tickets during distribution.
Students currently studying off-campus may make arrangements to collect tickets at will call during the RSVP process.
Please store your tickets in a safe and secure location. We are unable to reprint or replace lost tickets.
Will Call
Will call tickets will be available at McCamish Pavilion at the Main Entrance on the day of the event for each ceremony. Students or their delegate must present the student's name and Georgia Tech ID number to receive tickets.
The box office is unable to accommodate a split pick-up; all tickets for a group must be collected by one individual, who will be responsible for ensuring all guests receive their tickets.
Will Call is open two hours prior to ceremony start. Unclaimed tickets remaining when will call closes will be forfeited. Students and guests may only pick-up tickets during their designated will call time frame for each ceremony listed below:
PhD and Master’s ceremony: May 3, 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Bachelor’s morning ceremony: May 4, 7:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
Bachelor’s afternoon ceremony: May 4, 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
For information on our split undergraduate ceremony, visit our Spring 2013 Commencement page.
Additional Tickets
We do plan to have our remaining tickets at will call the day of the ceremony. Students or a delegate on their behalf may receive tickets at will call on a first-come, first-serve basis. A student ID number is required to receive any tickets at will call. Students may only receive additional tickets for their assigned ceremony (i.e. morning bachelor's students may not receive tickets for the afternoon ceremony).
Bachelor's students, morning and afternoon ceremonies, will be limited to five tickets per student ID number. Graduate students will be limited to seven tickets per student ID number.
Overflow Rooms and Additional Viewing Options
Guest overflow will be available in O’Keefe Gym located next to McCamish Pavilion. No tickets are required for overflow. Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
We will also show a live webcast of the ceremony at www.gatech.edu/commencement. The live link for each ceremony will appear thirty minutes prior to ceremony start. Full ceremony videos will be posted to our website one week following the event.
Guests on campus may re-scan their TVs to receive 19.1 and watch the ceremony live on GTCN.
Additional Information
Because all tickets issued are general admission, guests are encouraged to arrive early. Will call will open two hours prior to each ceremony’s start; doors will open ninety minutes prior to each ceremony. For exact times, please visit our Venue Information page.
Those requiring special services are encouraged to contact our Commencement Office by email at events@comm.gatech.edu.
