Location
The Spring 2013 Commencement will be held at the McCamish Pavilion, formerly Alexander Memorial Coliseum. McCamish Pavilion is located at the intersection of Tenth and Fowler Streets. Guests may enter through the main entrance on Tenth Street or the west entrance on Fowler Street.
Commencement is a ticketed event. For more information regarding tickets, see the ticketing policy page or FAQs.
Times
Commencement attracts tremendous attendance, so we ask that students, volunteers, and guests make appropriate allowances to ensure on-time arrival.

The bachelor's commencement will be split into two ceremonies. For more information, visit our spring 2013 ceremony page.
Morning Ceremony
Will call opens: 7:00 a.m.
Doors open: 7:30 a.m.
Ceremony begins: 9:00 a.m.
Will call closes: 8:45 a.m.
Ceremony concludes: 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon Ceremony
Will call opens: 1:00 p.m.
Doors open: 1:30 p.m.
Ceremony begins: 3:00 p.m.
Will call closes: 2:45 p.m.
Ceremony concludes: 5:30 p.m.
Please anticipate it taking 30 minutes to exit campus following the ceremonies due to traffic congestion.
Georgia Tech will host an event on Friday, May 3, in the afternoon for all graduating students. More information will be available after March 1, 2013.
Concessions
Concessions will be available during the ceremony. The McCamish Pavilion accepts both cash and major credit cards. Outside food and drink are not allowed.
Restrictions
Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are allowed in or around the ceremony area. Anyone violating this code will be removed from the event.
Noisemakers are not permitted. Families are encouraged to hold their applause until all graduates have walked across the stage, to allow for everyone's name to be heard.
Families may bring flowers and small signs for their graduates, but we ask that balloons not be brought into the venue as they could obstruct another guest's view.
Parking and Directions
The McCamish Pavilion is located on the Georgia Tech campus at the intersection of Tenth and Fowler Streets at 184 10th Street NW, Atlanta, Georgia, 30318. Click here to view a map of the intersection.

Parking is located throughout the Georgia Tech campus. Guests may park in E52 (Peters parking deck) and E40 (Klaus Advanced Computing Building parking deck). Additional parking is also available at the State Street lot and in Technology Square. For a list of parking lot locations, view our campus parking maps. Parking charges vary by lot.
**Friday guests are encouraged to leave extra time for parking. We expect a high amount of traffic due to the President's Graduation Celebration, a Georgia Tech baseball game, and Atlanta congestion. **
Guests with a valid handicap parking tag may park on Fowler Street. Alternatively, guests may be dropped off at the East Entrance of McCamish Pavilion, located off 10th Street.
Friday Shuttle Information
From 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3, shuttles will transport guests who park in the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center parking deck to the President's Graduation Celebration. The shuttles will be located in the hotel's turn around area located across from the Scheller College of Business on Spring Street. After 5:30 p.m., no shuttles will run near Tech Green, so guests are asked to plan accordingly.
Beginning at 4:30 p.m., additional shuttles will transport guests from the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center parking deck to McCamish Pavilion. This dedicated McCamish shuttle service will discontinue at 9:30 p.m. PhD and Master's students and their families who plan to attend both the President's Graduation Celebration and Commencement are encouraged to park in the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center parking area and utilize the Commencement shuttles. Please note, Commencement shuttles will not run on Saturday, May 4.

Tickets
The Commencement ceremony is a ticketed event; all guests will be required to present a valid ticket for entry. Students who RSVP for Commencement will receive a limited number of tickets for their guests. Visit the Ticketing Policy page and Ticket FAQ page for more information.
Overflow Rooms and Additional Viewing

Guest overflow will be available in O’Keefe Gym, located next to McCamish Pavilion. No tickets are required for overflow. Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
We will also show a live webcast of the ceremony at www.gatech.edu/commencement. The live link for each ceremony will appear thrity minutes prior to ceremony start. Full ceremony videos will be posted to our website one week following the event.
Guests on campus may re-scan their TVs to receive 19.1 and watch the ceremony live on GTCN.
