Georgia Tech has the No. 1 Industrial Systems and Engineering program in the nation, with a focus on optimizing freight movements across multiple lanes, systems, and modes, and working to create new tools and techniques for improving operational productivity and resiliency.
Industrial systems use people, machines, materials, information, and energy to make and deliver a product or provide a service. Georgia Tech researchers formulate and analyze abstract models based on real-world and theoretical scenarios to optimize complex systems and make them more efficient.
