The name Ramblin’ Wreck was used in Tech’s earliest years and gained widespread recognition in the 1920s when Tech graduates built makeshift mechanical buggies to improve a poor transportation system in South America.

The state-of-the-art Christopher W. Klaus Advanced Computing Building was awarded a Gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council for its advances in sustainable design in May.
