The Gold Tower Award for Faculty Communicator of the Year recognizes a member of the campus community who fosters excellence in external communications and contributes to the development and support of institutional and unit-level communications, marketing, and branding. Any Georgia Tech faculty/research member is eligible for nomination.
Judging Criteria
Judges will review and evaluate each entry based on the following:
- Does the faculty/research member strive to cultivate media relationships (if applicable)? Does the faculty/research member communicate his/her research to external audiences?
- How responsive is the faculty/research member to communication/collaboration requests communication/collaboration (from deans, departments, media, Communications & Marketing, etc.)?
- Does the faculty/research member’s behaviors align with Georgia Tech’s mission?
Staff Communicator of the Year
The Gold Tower Award for Staff Communicator of the Year recognizes a member of the campus community who fosters excellence in communications and marketing and contributes to the development and support of institutional and unit-level communications, marketing, and branding. Any full-time Georgia Tech staff member is eligible for nomination.
Judging Criteria
Judges will review and evaluate each entry based on the following:
- Does the staff member’s overall performance demonstrate leadership, active participation in the campus community, best practices in the communications field, innovation, and collaboration?
- Does the staff member proactively identify opportunities and challenges?
- Does the staff member’s behaviors align with Georgia Tech’s mission?
