Single-Channel Campaigns

The Gold Tower Award for Single-Channel Campaigns recognizes outstanding work, creativity, sound strategy, and design excellence for a marketing communications campaign that uses only one communications channel. This category includes multiple versions of advertisements, direct mailings, billboards, posters, flyers, videos, banner ads, etc., published in any one medium (print, digital, audio, etc.).

Judging Criteria

Judges will review and evaluate each entry based on the following:

  • Does the campaign meet stated objectives and desired response?
  • Does the campaign adhere to a sound marketing strategy and written plan?
  • Does the campaign display excellence and creativity in the application of design elements – visuals, photography, illustrations, graphics, typography, color, etc.?
  • Does the campaign demonstrate an understanding of the defined target audience?
  • Does the campaign provide engaging and relevant content?
  • Does the campaign demonstrate proper application of unit-level and overall Georgia Tech branding?

Internal Integrated Marketing Campaigns

The Gold Tower Award for Internal Integrated Marketing Campaigns recognizes outstanding work in multichannel campaigns that demonstrate the execution of consistent messaging, design, and strategy across multiple channels. At least three different channels must be used in the campaign, such as print advertising, direct mail, social media, outdoor advertising, public relations, online advertising, etc. This category includes campaigns directed at the Georgia Tech campus community (faculty, staff, and students).

Judging Criteria

Judges will review and evaluate each entry based on the following:

  • Does the campaign meet stated objectives and desired response?
  • Does the campaign adhere to a sound marketing strategy and written plan?
  • Does the campaign display excellence and creativity in the application of design elements – visuals, photography, illustrations, graphics, typography, color, etc.?
  • Does the campaign demonstrate an understanding of the defined target audience?
  • Does the campaign provide engaging and relevant content?
  • Does the campaign demonstrate proper application of unit-level and overall Georgia Tech branding?

External Integrated Marketing Campaigns

The Gold Tower Award for External Integrated Marketing Campaigns recognizes outstanding work in multichannel campaigns that demonstrate the execution of consistent messaging, design, and strategy across multiple channels.  At least three different channels must be used in the campaign, such as print advertising, direct mail, social media, outdoor advertising, public relations, online advertising, etc. This category includes campaigns directed primarily to audiences outside the Georgia Tech campus community, such as prospective students, alumni, parents, donors, the general public, etc.

Judging Criteria

Judges will review and evaluate each entry based on the following:

  • Does the campaign meet stated objectives and desired response?
  • Does the campaign adhere to a sound marketing strategy and written plan?
  • Does the campaign display excellence and creativity in the application of design elements – visuals, photography, illustrations, graphics, typography, color, etc.?
  • Does the campaign demonstrate an understanding of the defined target audience?
  • Does the campaign provide engaging and relevant content?
  • Does the campaign demonstrate proper application of unit-level and overall Georgia Tech branding?
