Dining Hall Earns Award for Design Excellence

Earlier this year, the North Avenue Apartments earned LEED gold certification for its sustainable design. Now, the Atlanta Urban Design Commission (UDC) has honored the facility’s dining hall with an Award of Excellence.

The North Avenue Dining Hall earned the honor for the enhancements its sustainable design elements have brought to the intersection of North Avenue and Centennial Olympic Park Drive/Techwood Drive.

North Avenue Apartments Dedicated for LEED Gold Distinction

Following the North Avenue Apartments (NAA) attaining LEED Gold status for Existing Buildings (EB) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) in December, the complex was dedicated this week to note the honor.

Georgia Tech President G. P. “Bud” Peterson and Executive Director of Housing Mike Black made remarks in front of the apartments Thursday, Feb. 9.
