Thank you to all who offered assistance during the time of the Haiti tradgedy. We have opted to remove the Focus on Haiti website at this time, but your help is still appreciated. We encourage you to give to any of the organizations listed to the right.
On behalf of the entire Georgia Tech community, we extend our greatest sympathy and concern for everyone in Haiti, along with their friends and family in the US and elsewhere, who have been impacted by the devastating earthquake on January 12. Georgia Tech has several students and faculty from Haiti, and we stand alongside them in this challenging time. We not only extend our hearts, but our hands. The people of Georgia Tech have a long history of stepping up to help in disasters. Students, faculty, staff, retirees and alumni are beginning to work together to help in any way we can with everything from volunteering and collecting supplies and resources to exploring ways we can use our expertise and technology in partnership with relief and government organizations.
The needs are great, and time is of the essence. While Port-au-Prince may be 1,300 miles from Atlanta, it is very close to home for our global Institute. Please join with us and other organizations and individuals worldwide in reaching out to the people of Haiti.
