Student Initiatives

Tech Cares

Tech Cares is a Georgia Tech student initiative designed to encourage communication and collaboration between both student organizations and individual students in the event of a disaster. Members of the taskforce will create unified marketing materials, a consolidated emergency relief calendar and an organized forum for communication among students.

Tech Cares will be made up of representatives from large organizations on campus who will work to create this infrastructure. In the event of a disaster, a meeting will be held immediately and any student interested in contributing to Tech's relief efforts will be encouraged to attend. If you are interested in hearing more about this initiative, contact Elle Creel, Student Government Association, Director of External Affairs: ecreel@gatech.edu.

Georgia Tech American Nuclear Society

The Georgia Tech American Nuclear Society (GTANS) has set up an e-mail address, questions@gtans.org,  as a resource for students and others to submit questions about the situation in Japan, specifically those that are nuclear-related. Several students are in charge of answering questions with faculty providing assistance for those they are unable to answer themselves.
