Recreation and Athletics
Football, basketball, baseball, golf, and many other NCAA Division I sports have long been part of the Tech tradition. Students also have access to intramural programs, a challenge course, and outdoor adventure trips.
Tech's Campus Recreation Center is one of the best in the country. The state-of-the-art facility includes an indoor rock climbing wall, racquet ball courts, Olympic pools, indoor and outdoor playing fields, personal training and group fitness classes.
Arts and Music
The Ferst Center for the Arts showcases an eclectic range of music and comedy acts, and student-run DramaTech Theater productions are always a hot ticket. The School of Music invites students to join vocal and choral groups, instrumental ensembles and bands, including the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Marching Band.
Georgia Tech's primary campus is located in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. The beautiful 600-acre, tree-lined campus is next door to museums, music venues, stadiums, shopping districts, restaurants and attractions. Public transportation is just steps away, making the entire city easily accessible.
Georgia also boasts several outdoor options. A short drive to the north are impressive mountain ranges, lakes, hiking trails, camping, whitewater rafting and wineries. A few hours south are charming coastal towns, island getaways and beautiful beaches.
