View of Atlanta from Georgia Tech campus.
Being a Tech student means going to college in the heart of a thriving, creative metropolis. The metro Atlanta area is home to nearly six million people, and its numerous neighborhoods offer endless opportunities for eating, exploring and enjoying life in the city during your time at Tech.
Tech shares its home in the Midtown neighborhood with young professionals, families, students, businesses, museums, theaters, restaurants and retail, as well as the city’s main central source of green space, Piedmont Park.
The campus entrepreneurial spirit flourishes in the startup community in Tech Square, and 16 Fortune 500 companies, including The Coca-Cola Company, UPS and The Home Depot, are headquartered here. With the world’s busiest airport a few miles away, you’re easily connected to anyone and anywhere in the world.
Even without a car, the Atlanta BeltLine and PATH let you move easily around town in an environmentally friendly way. The north Georgia mountains offer a getaway from city life, as does the Chattahoochee River and numerous lakes.
