Georgia Tech’s Division of Student Affairs has informed the Gamma Eta chapter of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity that they would be placed on interim suspension, effective immediately, pending the completion of an investigation into alleged violations of the Institute’s student code of conduct. The national office for Beta Theta Pi is in agreement with Tech’s decision to issue the suspension.
During a suspension, a chapter ceases any organizational activities, including any planned social functions at its campus residence. The investigation, assigned to the Dean of Students’ Office of Student Integrity, is ongoing.
