Douglas Allen Receives Governor's Award

The Historic Preservation Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources named Douglas Allen, professor and interim dean of the College of Architecture, a recipient of the Governor's Award for Historic Preservation Stewardship.
The award, given March 26, recognizes historic preservation stewardship relating to state-owned or administered properties or projects.

Allen has worked to preserve the integrity of the college's buildings, which include the East Architecture Building, the Heffernan House and the Hinman Research Building.
