Georgia Tech has been invited to have one faculty member be an applicant to the Pew Scholars Program. This program is designed to support young investigators in the basic biomedical sciences and in the clinical sciences. To be eligible, as of November 1, 2013, candidates must hold full-time appointments at the rank of assistant professor or equivalent at one of the invited sponsoring institutions. On July 1, 2013, they must not have been in such an appointment for more than three years, whether or not such appointments were on a tenure track.

To be considered as the Georgia Tech applicant, young faculty interested in being a candidate should send an up-to-date CV and 1-page research project summary to Gail Spatt (spatt@gatech.edu) no later than June 15, 2013. Decisions by an evaluation committee then will be made within the following month so that the selected individual will have the time necessary to prepare a competitive proposal by the deadline of November 1, 2013.
