Athletics at Tech

Georgia Tech has a proud tradition of high quality in both academics and athletics. Our NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics program is one of the oldest and most renowned in the country, and Tech students are passionate cheerleaders for their beloved Yellow Jackets. For the larger student body, Tech's extensive array of intramural sports offers opportunities for year-round athletic competition.

Intercollegiate Athletics

The Georgia Tech Athletic Association sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in seventeen sports. Men's sports are football, basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, indoor and outdoor track, cross country, and swimming and diving; while women's sports include basketball, softball, tennis, indoor and outdoor track, cross country, swimming and diving, and volleyball. Schedules and other athletics information are available at www.ramblinwreck.com. Any student wishing to participate in an intercollegiate sport should contact the head coach of that sport.

Intramural Sports

Campus Recreation and Intramural Sports offer a wide variety of intramural competition including: flag football, whiffleball, volleyball, sand volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, soccer, billiards, and bowling during fall semester; basketball, wallyball, softball, racquetball, dodgeball, three-on-three hoops, badminton, and innertube water polo during spring semester; and softball, sand volleyball, kickball, and three-on-three basketball during the summer. The Campus Recreation Center is the base for intramural activities. Other facilities include Alumni Park and the Roe Stamps Turf Field.
