Abstract: An arena for creative ideas and rigorous inquiry to address issues and conditions that challenge society; and an intellectual portal through which Georgia Tech can engage robustly in these endeavors. Projects selected will be based on four basic principles:

  • Robust interdisciplinary research;
  • Vibrant intellectual engagement among arenas of research and scholarship;
  • Lively public engagement that crosses barriers between high quality research and community stakeholders;
  • Well-deliberated recommendations for action reflecting social and ethical responsibility and global leadership.
