The focus is set on furthering the globalization of the educational experience at Georgia Tech with special emphasis on:
- Enhancing the language component of our educational offering, increasing support for language and culture studies through various creative modalities;
- Consider the meaning of a Georgia Tech Global Village (or community), either physical (space) or virtual capable of inter-linking the various relevant faculty, student, international business, among others, communities in a proactive way; and
- Global leadership in innovative pedagogy and outreach which will further solidify the Institute’s global footprint.
Project Updates
Nov. 15, 2012—When Georgia Tech released its 25-year strategic plan in 2010, the emphasis on growing Tech’s international presence and reputation was clear. In support of those aspirations, leadership within Office of the Provost has released its Global Positioning Strategy, a roadmap for how the Institute intends to pursue future international opportunities.
April 25, 2012—Project co-chairs shared findings and recommendations for implementation during an all-day retreat in the Global Learning Center.

Jan. 23, 2012—Project co-chairs were on hand for a one-day session to provide members of the Strategic Planning Implementation Steering Committee with and interim report and contextual road map for achieving project goals.
