2022 Latino Welcome Celebration

At the start of fall semester, Latino Welcome Celebration provides incoming and current Hispanic/Latino students with an opportunity to experience the Hispanic atmosphere at Georgia Tech. This event helps new students network with other students, faculty, staff, and corporate representatives, providing an easier transition into college and thereby increasing their chance for success.

Additionally, Latino Welcome Celebration encourages current students to strengthen their bonds with campus community members and campus organizations for the enhancement of the Hispanic atmosphere at Tech.

The 2022 Latino Welcome Celebration will be on Thursday, August 25 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall Midtown Ballroom.

Registration is not required. Please bring your Buzzcard to the event.

Representing student organizations include: ALPFA-GT, BRASA, GT SALSA CLUB, GT-SHPE, HRT, LASO, LOGRAS, SAA and SSO.

The Latino Welcome Celebration is co-sponsored by bp and Capital One.

Students are invited to info sessions to connect with representatives from bp and Capital One and learn more about internship opportunities, tips for landing a career, sustainable initiatives, and nontraditional pathways to a career in these industries.
