Abstract: Two electrical engineers will share their experiences working for International Paper, a global pulp and paper manufacturer. The presentation will include an overview of the company, information about pulp and paper manufacturing process, opportunities for co-ops, interns and full time hires.
Biographical Sketch of the Speakers:
Maya Pichkhadze - GT EE Alum 2007. Started as a reliability engineer at Prattville, AL mill. Worked as a capital project engineer and progressed to capital project manager. Participated in a paper machine rebuild project in Spain. Currently working as an equipment optimization analyst at IP’s Advanced Analytics Center at Tech Square.
Jamir Jones – GT EE Alum 2020. Graduated in Fall 2020. Started as a co-op student working in reliability. Also worked as an intern at GTRI CIPHER lab. Currently working full time as a reliability engineer with a focus in plant automation and electric power distribution.
