Yuanzhi Tang is a leading expert in energy systems, critical minerals, and energy material supply chains, with research and leadership focused on advancing secure, circular, and sustainable energy technologies and infrastructure. Her research centers on molecular-scale reactions at mineral-water interfaces and their applications in energy, environmental, and resource systems. Building on this foundational work, Tang develops solutions in energy and battery materials, resource recovery, waste-to-resource technologies, carbon and elemental cycling, and sustainable industrial systems.
