Master of Science in International Security (MS ISEC) Conceptual Foundations and Practical Policy Analysis

The Master of Science in International Security (MS ISEC) program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to address pressing international security issues. With a customizable program of study, students can specialize in subjects such as great power rivalry, defense policy analysis, crisis decision-making, and more.

The School of Modern Languages and the Scheller College of Business offer an interdisciplinary minor in International Business, Language, and Culture.

The minor prepares students for global leadership through business fundamentals and languages.

Focus: providing a unique opportunity for students with backgrounds in either social sciences or science and technology to deepen their understanding of international affairs through the advanced study of sub-fields such as international relations theory, international security, international political economy, comparative politics, and methods for social scientific research.

Focus: intensive training in foreign language and the fundamentals of engaging with foreign cultures and societies.

Undergraduate students may begin earning credit toward a Master of Science in International Affairs while pursuing their bachelor's degree in International Affairs. Students who want to pursue the five-year BS/MS combination must apply to the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs after completing at least 45 semester credit hours towards the Bachelor of Science in International Affairs. 

Focus: providing students with an understanding of factors that shape international affairs within the contexts of technology, scientific analysis, and ethics; security and diplomacy; comparative politics, cultures, and societies; and political economy.

International Affairs BS/MS

The Minor in International Affairs program offers specialized instruction in the globalization of politics, economics, and the increasing interdependence of states.

This International Affairs minor is especially useful for students preparing for graduate school or careers in internationally oriented fields.

Focus: offering an advanced curriculum exploring the disciplines of probability, optimization, statistics, computing, economics, and psychology.

Focus: blending mathematics, physical sciences, and business applications to form a program of study built on probability, optimization, statistics, computing, economics, and psychology.
